Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin offers studies in English language at the Faculty of Medicine (since 1996) and the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (since 2006).
Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin is a public (State-owned) university with full-time, intramural system of study. The level of qualification held: master’s degree program; diploma of higher education; long cycle programme.
At present, Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin has over 670 students of English Program at both Medicine and Dentistry Faculties. English Program students come from over 30 countries.
English Program students follow the same curriculum as Polish Program students, meaning they follow the same clinical and theoretical courses throughout 6 and 5 years of education at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry respectively. Most of the classes take place in the PMU Independent Public Clinical Hospitals’ (no.1 and no.2) chairs and departments, such as Chair of Pathology, Chair or Biochemistry and Medical Chemistry, Chair of Pharmacology, or in case of dental studies specifically: Chair of Conservative Dentistry and Periodontology, Chair of General and Dental Radiology or Maxillofacial Surgery Department, to name only a few.
The academic year lasts for 30 weeks and each academic year awards 60 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits.

- access to further study: Possibility to apply for the postgraduate studies and doctoral studies;
- pursue postgraduate internship;
- start the procedure of Final Medical State Exam [ Lekarski Egzamin Końcowy ];
- apply to the National Chamber of Physicians and Dentists in the respective country for the permit to practice the profession.
