SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities was established in 1996. It is the first private university in Poland. The University has been ranked by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as the leading higher education institution offering Social Sciences programs in Poland.
Since its inception, SWPS University has been dedicated to teaching and research. We help our students to realize their full potential and prepare them to meet the demands of the contemporary world. Our researchers conduct projects that have actual impact on the lives of individuals and communities.
PROGRAMS OF STUDY
SWPS University offers 13 undergraduate and graduate programs in English, including Language Studies, Psychology, International Business Management, in Warsaw and Design Studies at the School of Form in Poznań. Additionally, students who need to improve their language skills may enroll in non-degree English and/or Polish Preparatory School that focuses on equipping students with language and basic academic skills, necessary for successful progress through their degree program.
SWSP University is also a member of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) and participates in various exchange programs. The University offers six different majors in two cities, including Psychology, English Studies, Spanish Studies, International Business Management and Law in Warsaw, and Design in Poznań.
The faculty includes close to 1,000 academic teachers. Most of them are not only academic lecturers, but also experienced practitioners in their respective disciplines.
Since its inception, SWPS University has been investing in research and development. Annually, it conducts over 300 research projects, in 20 research centers and laboratories. The University is the 5th biggest beneficiary of research grants awarded by the National Science Center.
STUDY IN POLAND
The main campus of SWPS University is located in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Warsaw is a major academic center with numerous higher education institutions, welcoming students from all over the world. During summers, the city hosts many events available free of charge, including concerts, music festivals, open air film screenings, and entry to many art galleries and museums. Poznań, where our School of Form that offers Design Programs is located, is one of the largest academic centers in Poland. The city is also a lively cultural center, which hosts many popular events, including the Malta Festival – the biggest theatre festival in Poland, Dancing Poznań – which has been attracting dancers from all over the world for the past seventeen years, and Made in Chicago – the only festival of the Chicago Jazz School in Europe.
