Slovenia occupies an exceptional position at the meeting point of the Alps and Mediterranean, so country diversity and size allows us to hike in the mountains and swim in the sea in one day. Ljubljana is a capital city of this relatively small and young country, and it has been repeatedly declared one of the most beautiful and cleanest cities in Europe, very safe and good for living.

The University of Ljubljana is the largest and oldest university in Slovenia, and ranks among the top 3% of universities in the world. Nearly 40,000 students are studying at the University of Ljubljana this academic year. There are 3508 international students studying at the University of Ljubljana this academic year, 1612 of whom are enrolled in bachelor’s and integrated master’s programmes, 1512 in master’s programmes, and 384 in doctoral programmes.

The application period for enrollment in bachelor studies is usually published on our webpage in the beginning of February, so we advise you to check regularly our STUDY UL website. The application deadlines for master’s and doctoral study programs differ and will also be announced in the Calls for Enrollment. We suggest that you check the application deadline for the preferred study program in the Call for Enrollment for master’s and Call for Enrollment for doctoral studies. We invite you to watch the video on completing the application and submitting documents for the recognition of previous education.

Please note that the services offered by recruitment agents and agencies are not required to enroll at the University of Ljubljana.
